Meth Of A Rockette’s Kick
I’m listening to Mercury Rev’s Boces right now. I had always avoided this record cause in my mind, it was an almost unlistenable cacaphony. I’m actually quite enjoying it right now – it’s noisy, but the melody and cool sonics are definitely there and coexisting nicely. It’s interesting how sometimes you simply need to grow into a piece of music. A couple years ago, I just couldn’t handle this album. I think now I can.
For the record though, I still prefer the post-Barker Rev.
